Leash — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-22
Leash audits the extensions installed in your browser. It is built so that it cannot see your browsing: it requests no access to any website.
What Leash processes
- The list of extensions installed in your browser (names, versions, permissions), read via Chrome's
management API. This list is processed entirely on your device to produce the risk ranking and to detect permission changes between updates.
- A local snapshot of that list and a local change-history log, stored in your browser's extension storage.
What Leash does not do
- It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data. No analytics, no telemetry, no tracking, no servers.
- It cannot read any web page, your history, your cookies, or anything you type — it has no host permissions.
The only network request
If you purchase Leash Pro and activate a license key, the key string is sent to LemonSqueezy's public license API (api.lemonsqueezy.com) to validate the purchase. No other data is included, and no other network requests are made.
Removing your data
All Leash data lives in your browser. Uninstalling Leash deletes it.
